It was during his college years when Ranchhod Prajapati became fascinated with software testing. Although his job search after graduation was focused on developer positions, he would eventually wind up as a QA engineer – and he’s glad that he made the career move.
“Testing was something I had always been interested in,” said Ranchhod. “But when I got the opportunity to do it for living, I jumped on it.”
After discovering uTest through a friend (another member of the uTest community) Ranchhod decided to use the platform as a way to improve his testing skills, and make a little money on the side. But after winning the Social Media Bug Battle in March 2009, Ranchhod would make more than a little money – he would take home over $1,000 in prize money for finding the best bug in LinkedIn.
Although his testing strength is in web applications, Ranchhod is looking forward to testing mobile applications in the future, and said that he’s excited to grow his QA skills as the uTest community expands.
