uTest, the world’s largest software testing marketplace, today announced it will be hosting a software tester meetup, or P.E.S.T. (Pub Exploration of Software Testing) event, with partner and testing consultancy TCL at the Kinsale Bar in Boston on September 2nd at 6:30pm.

P.E.S.T. events are held regularly in pubs across the UK, USA and India, where software testers can network with other QA and development professionals; learn about the latest trends and tools in testing; and connect with executives from uTest and TCL. The events are informal, free, and open to all.

The meetup will also include testing games and competitions designed to foster testing knowledge, ability and problem-solving skills. Testers can win prizes, including several new iPods. To participate, testers must bring a wireless-ready laptop and/or a smart phone.

"uTest has built a vibrant, online community of professional testers, but it’s important to our community-building efforts to meet and connect with our testers in person," said Matt Johnston, uTest VP of Marketing & Community. "We welcome any QA or testing professionals in the Boston area to come out and join us for a fun, informal evening of networking."
