Hi,
I have strong objection against the bug is being approved for 'bug battle' contest. uTest is just approving the without knowign the aything, I have reviewed Google Chrome bugs.Aprox 20% bugs are related to functionality as it was designed but are approved, 70% bugs are not actually bug but approved. If we will give those approved bugs to google, google chrome dev team will die.
Some of the bugs are duplicate, known, not repor but are approved. If anybody need any clarification on that please contact me.
I want to request to all of the Testers please file the valuable bug only, and some of them please verify the bug which is approved.

Duplicate bugs
I am not sure about how good the bugs are, but definitely there are many duplicate bugs which are approved though it was clearly mentioned that duplicate bugs are not entertained.Refer to http://www.utest.com/bug_battle/rules.htm and read the last section
"What Bugs are Eligible?
To be eligible, a bug about a particular subject must be the first one submitted. Repeat bugs about the same topic will be excluded."
For ex : 6581,6274,6279,6537,6671,7120,7001 all these bugs are same ; unable to login to utest in Chrome and all these are approved.
I am not clear about how bugs are approved for the bug battle.
Does uTest want to approve all valid bugs and leave the duplicate bugs part when it goes the respective product companies?
Please clarify this.

Duplicate bugs
I have confirmed with uTest team, regarding this. They told me that because this is open testing and does not affect the users rating on uTest. If they will disapprove bugs then uTest Tester's rating will get affected. That's reasion they are approving all the bugs and then they will review it saperately.
But one thing I would like to ask some testers how they can file a bug without knowing anything, so many testers has logged bug that the "perticular site is not working on Chrome browser", "slowing down my pc", https sites are not opening; are these browser bug? please correct me if I am wrong. One more silly bug I found which is "random underline is coming on check boxes label. My god this is underlined because these are shortcut keys (might be the tester is novice about browser)" We had more than 1 week of time to lock the bug, but the testers have filed whatever they have got.
I want to request all of the testrs please review your bug twice before filing, and only filed a bug related to the application which you are testing; believe me this habbit will take you at the top as Software tester

i m totally agree with your comments and i appericiate that u had taken a intiative for this problem, i would like to suggest all members that before locking any bug they should reproduce these bug at their PC,
moreover there should be responsibilty of utest team that they should verify those reproduce steps and not say directly for duplicacy of bug if more than tester had locked same bug bcz some time this can be happened that if some body has given those step and bug was not reproduced but by another tester step's that bug has been reproduced
